Sentence Runs; Car Does Not

toyota camery must go ASAP - $500

Date: 2009-07-12, 9:56PM PDT

1988 toyota camery i will tell you before you read it does not run. small problem i believe a little history of the car… i bought it for $1400 a year and a half ago and one month after i got it my ex ran it out of oil so i believe a rod was thrown… it sat for a year and this january i bought a motor to put in it for $400 with 120000k on it its great no knocking or anything the motor is perfect just something in there small is wrong. finally got someone to put it in for $500, he got it in then couldnt figure out why it wouldnt start, it is something small a wire not connected properly or throttle cable i don’t know just been taking opinions form other people. so total i have put about $2500 into myself. the car is very clean no dents great intieor everything electric everything works, it ran great just had a small oil leak which eventually lead me to this. I lvoe the car and have put everthing i have into fixing it i just can’t do it anymore i dont know anyone with enough intelligence nor have the funds. if you can tow it and fix it its yours. i just want someone to take my baby and give her a good rest of her life because i have failed to do so and really need the extra cash.

Ok. Where should i begin for this one i hate people who post ads that are just run on sentences i wish you goddamn kids would stop text messaging and listen to your english teachers they might be able to teach you something.
(Sigh). Now that I’ve gotten that out, let’s check out this guys’s sweet ride. The “new” motor has 120,000K on it….that’s 120,000,000 miles! Holy shit! Now THAT is Toyota dependability!
Oh yeah, almost forgot: It’s a Camry!!! Not a Camery!! It’s written on the car!! I swear to you it is! Check the trunk lid! It most likely says Toyota on one side and Camry on the other!

…no knocking or anything the motor is perfect just something in there small is wrong.
< I’m not sure exactly wtf this is supposed to mean. First of all, the motor is obviously NOT perfect because it doesn’t run! Small problem there. “Just something in there small is wrong…” I really hope this guy is dyslexic.

I lvoe the car and have put everthing i have into fixing it i just can’t do it anymore i dont know anyone with enough intelligence

This is really not surprising. Really it's not.

What an amazing week! First, I nearly stumble onto the fabled Toyote pickup and now the unicorn of the automotive world: the Nissan Camry!
Who said Toyota and Nissan can't be friends?

Pink and Smelly

pink toyota camry - $3000
This car is a beauty..runs great, smells great, look beautiful-has power windows, locks, steering,-has a cd player/FM AM radio-last oil change this week-updated regularlyI had this car for 7 months and have had no problemsI have made some adjustments of my own byreplacing the distributer, fuel pump and thermo stat all donelast month..this car holds 221,000 miles but for that she getsfrom A-Z perfectly..the only damage she has is a small dentin the front on the bottom of the hood my dad dropped a powertool but its like maybe an inch and a half long minor..this didnot effect how the car runs..

It's good to know that the car smells good. That's a plus.
This ad contains my second biggest pet peeve after the breaks vs. brake controversy. Effect vs. affect. Let's review this kids: an effect is something that happens after the fact--a reaction if you will.
Example: pain is an effect of being run over by my car.
Affect is recurring. Having bad credit affects my life.
Distributer has an "o" as in distributor.
An ellipses has 3 dots, not 2, unless it's at the end of a sentence, then it's 4. I hope everyone can count, because I can't.
I had this car for 7 months....HAD the car? If you had it, then you must have already lost it or gotten rid of it. In either case, why the hell are you posting an ad for a car you no longer have?
Thermo stat is one word--thermostat. Unless you're in a hospital ER and they happen to need a thermo...STAT!

Toyoteeee!

1993 TOYOTE PU ***EXTENDED CAB***4X4***ONLY $3499***NICE****

Wow! What a rare find! I thought I had stumbled upon the Holy Grail of Japanese trucks. The fabled Toyote! Like peyote or Capote.
But no. Upon closer inspection, the tailgate revealed it was nothing more than your average Toyota truck. (sigh)
Who could ask for anything more?

If Your Brakes Break...

94 Toyota Pasceo for sale. Bought for Roommate a year ago to use while he was paying me back for it. He lost job and moved back in with family out of state. Recent work includes Replaced Struts, Front Breaks (Back were new and did not need replacing) Valve cover gasket. Asking 2800.00 OBO. Runs great.

I think this is the most common and also the most annoying mistake I see in car ads: "Breaks."
They're BRAKES people!!New breaks?? What just broke? NEW breaks? You mean there are others? Is the whole damn car broken?
The Overuse of Capital Letters Just Pisses Me Off As Well....
Also, there is no "c" in Paseo. I know...my neighbor has one and I looked for a "c." Alas, there was none. Maybe this is a limited edition car, or maybe the factory worker whose job it is to put the letters on the car swiped an errant "c" from a Corolla and slapped it on the "Pasceo" just for fun. I know I'd do stuff like that if I had that job.
